Chinedu Okoronkwo, the
National President, Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN,
on Thursday in Abuja stated that Kerosene will soon be accessible
and cheaper in Nigeria.
He assured that there are ongoing plans to import the
product on a massive scale into the country but the association would not peg
it at a specific price. “We know there are challenges about getting the product
but are we are trying to bring a solution to cushion the effect. We are not
going to put price now but I can assure you, it will be cheaper than what you
are getting right now,” said okoronkwo.
According to the IPMAN
president, the association will key into the new Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN,
policy to get foreign exchange and consequently sell kerosene cheaper.
