INTERESTING! UNNAMED OIL COMPANY TO FUND EAGLES NEW COACH SALARY

Gernot Rohr
Following the appointment of Gernot Rohr yesterday, Amaju Pinnick, the Nigeria Football Federation President, continues to put Nigerians in the dark concerning the identity of the firm supposedly paying the salary of the new coach of the Super Eagles.
Notwithstanding counter views, Pinnick believes transparency will be maintained through the appointment of a third party to monitor the payment deal. “The company will fund it (payments for foreign coach) and to make it very professional, the sponsor will pay our consultants Financial Derivatives, who will then pay the coach. Financial Derivatives, who are headed by Bismark Rewane, a man of impeccable character, will be the ones to interface with the sponsors, the NFF will not pay the coach directly,”explained Pinnick.

It is believed a deal has been struck with an oil company to foot the bill of the new coach for the duration of his contract. The German tactician has been given a two year contract and will work with Alloy Agu and Salisu Yusuf in the national team set-up.
