An ambassadorial
nominee has fumbled while singing the national anthem and had to be helped to
finish it.
Vivian Okeke was the first nominee to be screened out of the 47 ambassadorial nominees today July 26. Mrs Okeke could not recite the last stanza of the National Anthem but was aided by Senator James Manager, a member of the committee.

Recall that President Muhammadu
Buhari on Thursday, June 9, had released the list of 47 Ambassadorial nominees.
This was contained in a letter sent to Senate president Bukola Saraki. Present
at the meeting for the screening were Monsurat Summonu, the chairman Senate
committee on foreign affairs, Shehu Sanni, representing Kaduna Central
senatorial district, James Manager, representing Delta South senatorial
district and Ita Enang, Senior Special Assistant to President among others.
