President
Muhammadu Buhari has commissioned the Abuja-Kaduna railway services on
Tuesday July 26. The construction of the railway had begun under the previous administration of President Goodluck Jonathan in 2009, with the project acknowledged to have reached an advanced stage before the coming of the Buhari government.

It is
believed the Idu to Rigasa rail line will enhance safe movement of passengers
and freight between Abuja and Kaduna.
The
president is of the hope that this will kick start the vision to link all
states and commercial centers in the country using rail lines.
