President Muhammadu Buhari has on
July 29 appointed five
new heads of the strategic health institutions in Nigeria.

This was contained in a statement by
Bashir Ahmad, presidential personal assistant on new media. The new appointees
are Dr Chikwe Andreas Ihekweazu- Centre for Disease Control, Dr Sani Aliyu- National
Agency for the Control of Aids, Prof Babatunde Salami- Nigerian Institute for
Medical Research, Prof Echezona Ezeanolue- National Primary Health Care
Development Agency and Prof Usman Yusuf -National Health Insurance Scheme.
All the five appointments are with immediate
effect.
